Cognizant hosted several virtual cooking events in 2020 and 2021 with celebrity chefs like Alex Guarnaschelli, Curtis Stone, and Ron Blaauw. For these events, guests were mailed a box of fresh ingredients, recipe cards, prep cards and on occasion an additional gift. The attendees then joined a virtual event with the celebrity chef who walked them through prepping and cooking 2-3 recipes.

I was in charge of the design concept and print collateral. I also put together a presentation for best practices when mailing perishable items, which played a huge part in the success of the event. The print collateral pieces include recipe cards, prep cards, thank you cards, box design, ingredient labels, and a bookplate for the chefs to sign a cookbook that was gifted to the attendees.

Utilizing Cognizant’s color palette, I designed a fun food pattern to use throughout the each collateral piece.

I specifically designed the recipe cards at 4″x6″ so they will fit inside a recipe box. This allowed attendees to save the recipe and cook it again in the future. Because of the recipe lengths, I designed the cards to be folded. This also allowed for photographs of the food and additional branding and design elements.
