Work From Home Heroes: Gift Package Design
This particular event for Dell Technologies, is a recurring in-person event. In 2020, the event went virtual for the very first time. In an effort to create excitement around what would transition into a virtual event, gifts were sent out to attendees. The theme for this particular event was Work-From-Home Heroes. The gifts that were sent out were a super hero chair cape and a pair of Bombas socks. The chair capes were right on theme for the Work-From-Home Heroes. The Bombas socks were super because every pair that was purchased, another pair was donated to a homeless shelter.
I designed the packaging that these fun gifts were mailed in, along with two cards that were placed into the box to pair with the gifts.
Since this event’s focus was to also help every attendee feel connected to each other despite being virtual, I used a connectivity pattern through the design of the box.
The exterior of the box was a craft color with a white imprint. Then to add some color, I designed a blue box closure sticker with the same pattern. I designed the entire inside of the box to be blue, to add excitement as each attendee opened it up.
On the first layer, there were slits to hold the first note card, explaining how the attendees have been Work-From-Home Heroes.
The second layer contained the second note card with a fun explanation of the gifts enclosed. Nestled underneath that card were the two gifts.
On the bottom layer, underneath the gifts, for one final touch, I added the Dell Technologies and Intel logo for added branding detail.
